The Vale do Lobo Golf Club offers a full complement of services, including a golf shop, a Golf Academy with two distinct practice areas, club, buggy and trolley rental, changing facilities and lockers are also available.
Located near Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo, 2 Passos stands on high stilts atop sand dunes overlooking the Ria Formosa nature reserve. The restaurant has been serving the best of traditional Algarve dishes since 1982. As befits a beach restaurant, the décor is simple – a high wooden terrace, with unobstructed views across the beach and the ocean; a simple white wood interior with a lovely high ceiling and the all important lobster tank.
In 2018 Gourmet Natural launched a brand new menu featuring those excellent steaks and also a great choice of modern, mediterranean dishes featuring fish, lamb and chicken, as well as creative vegetarian options. The flavours are fresh and delicious, with some innovative combinations that are as delicous as they are surprising. The ambience is utterly relaxing with diners encouraged to linger over their meals to savour both the food and the setting.
The grounds are stunning, as is the building itself. The South American wall motifs and decorative touches fit perfectly within the walls and courtyard of a traditional Algarve villa. The wide gateway leads you round the central fountain and onto the deck, surrounded by banana palms, pine trees, & leggy tropical palms. You immediately relax into the spirit of the restaurant. Cocktail in hand, you have nothing more arduous to do than choose your favorite dish and enjoy every mouthful.
An important focus of the Gourmet Natural menu is top quality natural Uruguayan beef, grilled, not over charcoal, but fresh firewood. All the meat has 100% traceability and comes from free range Angus and Hereford grass-fed cattle. The resulting beef has low fat levels, high levels of omega 3 and vitamin E. The special grill, the Parilla, was made to the Uruguayan chefs’ specifications and stands to one side of the courtyard. Just watching the chefs expertly juggle the meat and flames is an entertainment. They are very proud of the steaks they serve – it is unpretentious and straightforward but of superior quality. Naturally gourmet.

BJ’s Oceanside is right on the beach at Praia de Almargem, at the western edge of the Golden Triangle. Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago are to the east, Vilamoura is to the west and right in front of you – the vast Atlantic. Backed by pine trees, with a natural lagoon to one side, it is hard to imagine a better setting.
Perfect as the setting is, it’s the atmosphere at BJs that is possibly its biggest attraction – relaxed, simple chic and very welcoming. The mood is pure beach – sun on your shoulders, the sound of the ocean and chilled drinks to sip. Open for lunch and dinner in the summer months, the live music sessions at lunchtime are legendary – book in advance if you want a table. It’s good times, good sounds and good fun nirvana. Slightly off the beaten track, BJs is popular with visiting celebrities, who enjoy the laid back atmosphere, families and groups love the beachside location and everyone love’s Bex’s dressing up box, with a wig or hat for every occasion!
The terraces at BJ’s Oceanside overlook the ocean and beach and are perfect for either a long lunch or a romantic dinner. The two original terraces are slightly elevated above the beach.
Casavostra Pizzeria, enjoying an excellent location in Almancil, is the ideal meeting point to catch up with friends and family. Relax in the café-bar with a lavazza coffee or a cool cocktail. Using only the freshest and finest ingredients, most of which come from their garden or directly from Italy, the food at Casavostra is quite simply, delicious. The menu is vast and you will be spoiled for choice. The wonderful, relaxed, comtemporary atmosphere, the spacious outdoor dining terrace, free WiFi and the warm friendly welcome you receive make this Pizzeria unique. Open daily from 12 noon to mid-night.
Restaurant Casa do Campo is one of those hidden gems that the Algarve loves to keep as a surprise. Located just outside Almancil in the heart of the Algarve’s Golden Triangle, this is one of the most charming restaurants in the region.
Hidden from the main road, the restaurant is housed in what was once an old farm house, dating back to 1884. The indoor dining room is quite traditional in style, in keeping with the building, with tables circling the central fireplace. The thick stone walls are adorned with the works of a local artist, adding a modern note to Casa do Campo. In the summer the wooden shutters are thrown back and the windows opened, to take advantage of the balmy summer evenings. The beautiful Algarve light falls across the white-washed walls and dark wooden rafters, creating a remarkable and tranquil ambience.
During the summer the garden terrace, dotted with candles and colourful cushions is the place for al fresco dining. All eyes are drawn to the magnificent fig tree that dominates the courtyard. Over 200 years old, it provides a lovely shade, not to mention some seriously fresh figs which can literally fall into your lap!
The menu at Casa do Campo features Mediterranean and Algarvian dishes. Local fresh produce is used whenever possible. In fact, most of the fresh fruit and vegetables used at Casa do Campo are grown on the restaurant’s own farm – a sure guarantee of freshness and flavour. The menu follows a farm to table philophy, varies with the seasons and there is always fresh, wild fish available as well as oysters – one of Casa do Campo’s most famous dishes – and other shellfish as well as a range of meat dishes.
Izzy’s is famous for its unique combination of laid back atmosphere, great food and friendly service. Located on the Garrao beach with amazing panoramic views of the Atlantic ocean, Rory O’Shea , our long standing manager, and his team, will ensure the perfect experience to match the location.
You can enjoy the Izzys experience at lunch, dinner or just for a cocktail in our beach lounge .
Live music is played on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, making it a magical place to relax at the weekend. Large parties are welcome.
Spikes is a hugely popular Mediterranean and modern European restaurant in the Parque do Golfe, run by Chef Maurice Belhaj and his family. Menu classics include duck breast salad with foie gras and roasted lamb carré with spinach gratin. Their unmissable desserts include the legendary apple and blueberry crumble.
